This is another piece of art I made about Carol who really is never far from my thoughts. I found a piece of acetate that had dandelions all over it and thought it would tie in nicely with the idea of making wishes. When I was younger I always used to blow dandelions and make wishes at the end.
I then placed the acetate over a black piece of card and mounted and framed it. I then wrote on top of the glass with a silver Sharpie glass marker and am really pleased with how it came out.

I'm aware that the words may not be too clear (my apologies for the bad photo) so I thought I'd write them here:
I wished a lot of things for you
over the years.
Mainly, I just wanted you to be happy,
but it never came true.
So I stopped making wishes when you left,
it just seemed pointless.
Saying them out loud -
knowing they'd only ever fall to the floor.
